AFP2 Post Production

Filed under: Uncategorized — upforkeeps @ 5:04 pm

For AFP2, i was the sound recordist and sound designer.

I recorded all audio and make sure to have plenty of back-ups just in case something went wrong. Recording the ambiance at every location is a must.

In Post, i work closely with the editor. I did folleys and also ADR when needed. Monitor the synching of the audio. Help finding the sound effects needed for some of the scene.

I also do up the Sound Tracksheet when the edits are done to keep track on the audio and see where i placed it so that if the final cuts were to go missing atleast, i know where to place my sound again to synch with the video.

My Role: Sound Recordist

As a Sound Recordist, i need to check if the surrounding is good enough for me to record. I need to always tell the director that i’m not ready if the surrounding of the area is not suitable for recording. This is to avoid any complications to occur in post. I also recorded my sound more than once so that i have back-up in case any of the two is not good enough.

For AFP2, my role is being a Sound Recordist and Sound Designer.

1) As the Sound Recodist, i would need to prepare my sound sheets and do the sound beats together with the Director.

2) After 3 years, i know that this stage is the most important part for a smooth production shoot. Everyone did their part in whatever way they could and slog it all out. It is important for us to get this done properly so as to avoid hick-ups along the way.
